Daily Rate Cap
Within the same calendar month, once your cumulative daily charges reach that model's monthly price, billing is capped automatically and the rest of the month is free. For example, on M4R M at $40.8/day, charges reach $203.9 by day 5, with the remaining days that month at no cost — daily billing will never end up costing more than the monthly plan.
Upgrade Price Difference
Upgrade from a lower tier to a higher one at any time — you only pay the prorated difference for the remaining period, never double-charged. Dedicated hardware upgrades happen via snapshot migration to a new machine, typically back online in about 20 minutes. The IP address will change; your SSH keys and on-disk data carry over as-is.
Renewal & Data Retention
If a plan lapses without renewal, the machine is powered off but data is kept for 72 hours. Renew at any point within that window to restore the same machine with its configuration and data intact. After 72 hours, the disk is wiped completely and cannot be recovered — export anything important beforehand.
Refund Policy
Daily plans are non-refundable once used. Monthly and quarterly plans qualify for a full refund within 72 hours of activation — just submit a ticket through the Portal, with refunds landing back on your original payment method within 1–3 business days.

Top 3 Questions Before You Buy
Can I install any version of macOS?
Supported OS versions are tied to chip firmware: every model in the lineup (M4 and M4 Pro) ships with macOS 15 firmware and only supports 15 or later. The Portal lists the images currently available for each model, and reinstalling takes about 15 minutes, fully self-service. If you need to lock to a specific point release (e.g., 15.3.1) for compatibility testing, check "Disable automatic updates" during reinstall.
Is the machine delivered clean? Can I reinstall anytime?
Yes. Every machine is fully wiped and loaded with a clean official macOS image before delivery, with no leftover data or settings from any previous user. During your rental period, you can trigger a self-service reinstall from the Portal at any time, choosing from any supported macOS version. The whole process takes about 25 minutes and doesn't require a support ticket.
What happens if I go over my traffic quota?
Each tier includes 2TB–6TB of monthly traffic (see comparison table). Going over doesn't cut your connection or trigger automatic overage charges — the port is simply throttled to 100Mbps until the next billing cycle resets it. To restore full 1Gbps speed, you can purchase additional traffic in the Portal at $8/TB, effective immediately. SSH sessions, everyday builds, and code syncs rarely come close to the limit — the main things to watch for are large build artifact distribution and video asset transfers.
